Sanjeewa and Anusha win Commander’s Cup
Niloo Jayathilake in action at China Bay
Sanjeewa Ariyaratne and Anusha Senadheera stamped their class by winning the Men’s and Women’s segment respectively at the 8th edition of the Sri Lanka Air Force Commander’s Cup 2021 worked off at the picturesque Eagles Golf Link located in China Bay, Trincomalee yesterday. More than 80 golfers teed off at this annual event.
It was a weekend of golf in Trincomalee where evergreen golfer Niloo Jayathilake had to be satisfied being runner-up in the women’s main event. Janaka Thebuwana, the 2019 Commander’s Cup winner became the runner-up in the men’s main event.
Very strict health guidelines were followed by the organisers. The event was well organised headed by Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana the former Rajans sportsman and one of the best golfers.
