The Chinese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong and Education Minister G. L. Peiris launched Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future 2020” – a training programme for 16 Sri Lankan students from ten universities and five provinces who were selected to receive training in the ICT industry and gain first-hand experience of Huawei’s latest technologies in China.

The event took place last Monday.

The first Seeds for the Future programme in Sri Lanka was launched in 2016, with 40 students receiving practical experience in the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China. This year, Seeds for the Future was held online amid the COVID-19 situation.
