Sri Lankan appointed President of Asian HR association

Dhammika Fernando, incumbent President of CIPM Sri Lanka, has been appointed as the President of the prestigious Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) and a Board Member of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA) in July.

APFHRM comprises Australia, Bangladesh, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, CIPM Sri Lanka said in a statement.

An experienced human resource and business professional, Mr. Fernando took over the stewardship of the CIPM Sri Lanka in June 2018. He currently functions as the Executive General Manager and the Local Chief Officer of Tropical Findings (Pvt) Ltd, a Japanese multinational.

Having passed out as an Engineer from the University of Moratuwa in Electronics/Telecom Engineering, Mr. Fernando has a vast experience in the TV broadcasting industry and Light Engineering /Switchgear industry.
