Chess GP from July 11

View(s): The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka will commence its activities after the long break due to the spread of coronavirus by conducting the Sri Lanka Grand Prix 2020 from July 11 to 19.
The top 12 seeded players will compete for supremacy in this mega event to be played on a round robin basis. Eleven round events will be played on Fisher mode.
The players vying for honours are the reigning champion Chandana Wijekoon, G.C. Anuruddha and Minul Sanjula Doluweera, Romesh Weerawardene, L.M.S.T. De Silva, Kevin Ranidu Silva, E.D.S. Chandula, Buddhika Amarasinghe, Dimuthu Priyadarshana, Elath Mathanga, Jenith Weerathunga and Thisal Piyumantha.
