After the improvement of COVID-19 pandemic over the world and in new preparation of ‘New Normal’ the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in consultation with FIFA, has been making plans  to reorganise the postponed matches in the FIFA international window in October and November.

Accordingly Sri Lanka will most likely resume its international schedule with the three postponed games against North Korea, South Korea and Lebanon, which were postponed due to the pandemic. As scheduled earlier Sri Lanka will play against the Asian opponents in two away matches and a home game.

Sri Lanka’s first game will be against North Korea on October 8 away, while South Korea will travel down to Sri Lanka to play in Colombo on October 13.

Sri Lanka will face Lebanon on November 12 in an away game to complete their FIFA World Cup Round 2 Qualifiers.
