A vaccine has been developed to contain COVID-19 which is likely to work in humans, Italian researchers have announced.

The vaccine which has worked in mice is to be tested on humans after the summer (June-August).

According to a web search, a Rome-based biotechnology company, Takis, has said that two potential vaccines out of five candidates have for the first time neutralized the virus in human cells grown in a petri dish in the laboratory.

This company is part of the World Health Organization’s Research & Development blueprint group set up to move forward with the development of diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics for COVID-19.
