No noisy rallies but these workers portrayed May Day

While there were no big rallies or processions to mark May Day on Friday, this workers’ day was portrayed significantly by poor Natamies unloading gunny bags full of food items from lorries at the Pettah market as they do every year. Pic by M.A. Pushpakumara
