ANC Career Fair and Networking Evening 2020 was brought to a successful conclusion at the Kingsbury Hotel Colombo on 6th February bringing together more than 25 Top Corporates of Sri Lanka including: MAS Holdings, Hilton Colombo, DIMO, Dialog, Cinnamon Hotels, WNS, Mobitel, Brandix, IFS, NDB, Bellvantage, Abans, PABC, Fonterra, NTB, Standard Chartered Bank, Analytic Eye & SkyEye, Diamond Cutters, Asia Security and more.

These Corporates had access to a large pool of talented candidates from ANC consisting of over 250 students, alumni, recent ANC graduates and postgraduate candidates. The Career Fair provided the opportunity to interview students for internships, vacant positions and future openings as well as the opportunity for students to know what to expect from potential employers and be better prepared to succeed in their chosen fields with the right opportunity.

Networking Evening with Mr. Dulith Herath

The Career Fair was followed by the Networking event and panel discussion with Mr. Dulith Herath Founder & Chairman of Kapruka.com and Co-founder of Grasshoppers, Dr. Mamiko Reeves, Assistant Vice President & Dean of International Programmes of Northwood University and Dr. Chathura Liyanage ANC Academic Head for Northwood University. It was a dynamic discussion for students and parents to learn everything about why U.S Education gears students for success, U.S degree programmes offered in Sri Lanka and the unique attributes of ‘Gen Z children’ (born between 1997 to 2012) who are different from the Millennials.

Mr. Dulith Herath, who is a Graduate of U.S shared his success story of Sri Lanka’s largest E-commerce organization and how his U.S Education enhanced his entrepreneurial appetite to venture into the unknown.

It sparked conversation with parents and students alike who engaged with the panelists getting valuable insight and guidance for their children’s future education, career and entrepreneurial aspirations.
