The Organising Committee of Trinity College and Royal College has decided to play the first and second legs of the 76th Bradby Shield rugby encounters in May and June this year. According to the Schools Rugby League draw, Royal will host Trinity in the Schools League on March 20, but this will not be considered as part of the Bradby series.

The Bradby first leg encounter will be played on May 30 at Royal Sports Complex while the return leg of the 76th installment will be played at Pallekelle on June 13. Unlike other years in 2020 both schools will play each other on no less than three occasions with two games in Colombo and one in the Central Hills. There is a possibility of a fourth game in case they meet each other in the Presidents Trophy Knockout soon after the completion of the Schools League.
