The Open University of Sri Lanka held its 31st General Convocation on the 26th of June 2019 in which over 1024 graduated in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences ( Law and Management), Health Sciences (Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing and Pharmacy) Education (Special Needs Education and Masters of Education ) and Post Graduate English Language Teaching . The Highlight of the event were the six gold medallist that received their awards from the Chancellor Deshamanya Vidya-Jothi Prof. Colvin Goonaratne.
The Governor Central Bank – Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy and Prof. Saroj Jayasinghe, Chair Prof of Medicine and Founder Head, Dept. of Medical Humanities, University of Colombo graced the occasion as guests of honours .
The Vice – Chancellor Prof. S.A. Ariadurai and the Registrar Mrs. Vindya Jayasena conducted the formalities.
