Luxury beachfront resort Amari Galle has been certified ISO 22000 and is the first hotel in Sri Lanka to utilise a fully automated Food Safety Management System, PEx Solution.

Its General Manager Puneet Dutta in a media release said that this investment underscores the hotel’s uncompromised commitment to food safety. “Food safety is becoming more and more an important factor as it alone contributes to food security, health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development.”

The F&B team at Amari Galle consists of locally and internationally qualified industry professionals led by Indika Jayawardena — Director of Food and Beverage, Sampath Maddawattage – Executive Chef, Shashank Bhatia – Assistant Manager Food and Beverage and Asanka Bhandara — Assistant Manager Stewarding.
