Wesley dominated proceedings of the Under-19 Inter-Schools cricket match against St. Anthony’s Wattala which concluded at Campbell  Park yesterday.

St. Anthony’s in their first effort scored 179 runs. This was in reply to Wesley’s score of 317 for 9 declared which came on the back of half tons made by Movin Subasinghe and Thisuraka Akmeemana who were associated in a valuable 162 run stand for the fourth wicket.

Made to follow on the Antonians facing a deficit of 138 runs, fought back helped by a knock of 82 by Joel Pinto. Finally they ended up with a respectable 154 for 3 in their second inning, with the match ending in a first inning win for Wesley.
