A play for education and entertainment
Ever popular playwright Punyasena Gunasinghe’s “Dikthala Kalagola” will go on the boards at 8.15 am and 10.30 am on June 8 at the Town Hall auditorium in Kurunegala.
The play is a prescribed text for G.C. E. Ordinary Level Drama and theatre syllabus
“Dikthala Kalagola” is played by Indika Jayasinghe, Jayanath Bandara, Thushari Gunaratne, Isuri Weerasinghe, Upali Bandara, Upali Thiwanka Hewage, Saman Nishantha Gunasinghe, Ranjith Ranaweera and Rohana Wijaya Sri.
The original songs and melodies are by the late Charles de Silva Gunasinghe and music direction and production is by Punyasoma Gunasinghe. Mahendra Gunasinghe and Nandana Gunasinghe play percussion, costume designing is by S. H. Sarath, Mihindu Madusanka handles lighting and the play is organised by Jude Srimal.
