S. Thomas’ too good for Lumbini

It what was expected to be a close contest saw S. Thomas’ coming out too victorious with ease against Lumbini MV with a convincing 40 points to 10 in the Singer U19 inter-schools Plate Championship encounter played at Mt Lavinia yesterday.
The Thomians completely dominated proceedings though the two teams shared proceedings in the early stages of the first half. However once the Thomians began scoring they went on the rampage ending with a 21-5 lead at the breather before adding a further 19 points in the second half as they made up their scoring through five goals and a try as against to the two tries scored by Lumbini MV.
Number eight Lashandra de Silva was in top form as he went over for four of the six tries the Thoras planted with flanker Christian de Lile and Aaron Ferdinando scoring the other two tries and Aaron apart from the try he scored booted over the five conversions while D.K. Nilipul and T. Theekshana scored the tries for Lumbini MV.
