Jess Glynne releases new song

Jess Glynne has released her first new song in three years on May 4. ‘I’ll Be There’ was also premiered by the singer on the Graham Norton Show the same day. Her last top 10 hit was ‘Take Me Home’ in 2015. Earlier this year Glynne was one of the featured artists on Rudimental’s chart topping song ‘These Days’.

A new super group has been formed by Labrinth, Sia and Diplo. Australian artist Sia made the announcement on social media indicating new music was being released on May 3.

The heirs of the late singer Prince have filed action against the hospital and pharmacy chain in the US for failing to give the artist proper care in the lead up to his death.

Dr. Nicole Mancha of Trinity Medical Centre in Illinois and two pharmacists of the Walgreen chain were named in action filed at the Cook County court in Chicago, Illinois according US reports. Prince died on April 21, 2016.

Pop star Katy Perry has met Pope Francis at the Vatican in Rome on 28th April. The meeting took place at the Holy See during Unite to Cure conference at the Holy See.

Perry who was accompanied by her mother and her on and off boyfriend Orlando Bloom, took to social media to release the news.

Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa have held on to the No: 1 position on the UK singles chart with ‘One Kiss’ for a second week. The song streamed 8.7 million times in the last week the highest number by a song in a week since Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito’ clocked 8.8 million last year. Meanwhile Harris has been named the most played Scottish artist on UK radio and TV of the 21st century by the music licensing company PPL.

The highest new entry on the chart was by Ariana Grande’s ‘No Tears Left To Cry’. The song debuted on the UK singles chart at No: 2, a week after it was released. The track was in fact battling for the No: 1 spot but the Calvin Harris Dua Lipa track ‘One Kiss’ prevailed. The dance pop track is produced by two Swedes Max Martin and Ilya. The song is Grande’s first top 10 UK hit in two years, the last being ‘Side To Side’ featuring Nicki Minaj. ‘No More Tears Left To Cry’ is the sixth UK top hit for Ariana Grande. ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ will be lead track to her next album.

Advancing up the chart to gain entry on the top 10 at No: 7 from 18 is the song ‘Answerphone’ by Banx & Ranx. The electro Caribbean duo from Canada feature Ella Eyre and Yxng Bane on both vocals and rap. The catchy track is in its sixth week on the chart starting journey at No: 70 and then rising to No: 7.

The next new entry ‘2002’ by Anne-Marie debuted at No: 8. The song is the sixth release from the 27 year old English singer songwriter’s album ‘Speak Your Mind’. The love pop ballad with a slight Caribbean influence is Anne-Marie’s third top 10 song on home ground. She was the featured vocalist on Clean Bandit’s ‘Rockabye’ last year.
