Hemantha wins second stage
National level cycling rider Janaka Hemantha Kumara of SL Navy won the second stage of the 19th Tour De Air Force cycle race yesterday. The second stage started from Puttalam and ended in Hingurakkgoda and the total distance was 165.2 km.
The event has been conducted by SL Air Force parallel to 67th anniversary of Air force. The first five winners finished their race at the same time. The first stage winner Sajith Hasanka of SL Port Authority was not able to make it to the final 10 yesterday. However, at the end of these two stages Sajith Hasanka has been leading as the tour leader.
The third and final stage starts today from Hingurakkgoda at 8.30 am and goes Batticaloa.
