26 Aesthetic subjects for GCE A/L: AVK
View(s):Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam this week said the Ministry of Education (MoE) has introduced 26 Aesthetic subjects for the GCE Advanced Level syllabus. The Minister addressing the All Island National Dancing Competition last Wednesday (24), at the MoE auditorium, said the main purpose of this Curriculum stream is to develop the personality and other basic skills necessary in the practical lives of students.
Certificates were awarded to 120 students, veteran artistes and directors of Dance academies who supported this event. Minister Kariyawasam said they are already providing overseas tours for teachers of Maths, Science, English and Technology, and in the near future, they intend providing this privilege to Aesthetic teachers as well.
