A three-day festival of theatre with every popular stylish drama by Prof. Ediriweera Sarachchandra and new political satires will go on the boards at 3.30 and 7 pm at the Lionel Wendt theatre from January 26 to 28.

The festival will kick off with Prof. Sarachchandra’s ‘’Maname’’ on January 26. Veteran playwright and teledrama and filmmaker Jayantha Chandrasiri’s “Hankithi Dhathuna” will be performed on January 27.

The play features Sriyantha Mendis, Kusum Renu, Jayalal Rohana, Wasantha Vittachchi, Sanjeewa Dissanayake, Mahendra Weerarathna, Nuradhika Serasinghe, Ishara Athukorala, Nadeesha Buwaneka, Gamini Jayalath & Thissa Gunathilaka.

Music is by Chinthaka Jayakodi.

Udyaysiri Wickremaratne’s newest play “Thunsiya Heta-eka” (361)will be staged on January 28.

The play stars Gihan Fernando, Umayangana Wickremasinghe, Ruwan Malith, Chamari Nisansala, Mihiri Priyangani, Susanga Kahandawalaarachchi, Rohitha Jayakody, Kusal Maduranga, Ishara Wickremasinghe and Nayanthara de Silva.

The festival is presented by Jude Srimal and all seats are box planned and tickets are now available at Lionel Wendt Theatre.
