‘Country Roads’, a Charity Concert for Children again

C elebrating the 29th anniversary of the children’s charity concert ‘Country Roads’ will come alive on March 19 at 6.30 p.m. at the Mount Lavinia Hotel.
The show will bring some great country, western and folk music hits from the 1970s to date.

‘Country Roads’ will feature Keith Potger from the legendary Seekers (Australia) with hits like ‘Carnival is over’ and ‘I’d like to build a world a home and furnish it with love’; the Mavericks duo from Germany; and Astrid Brook from the UK, as they would take the audience on a memorable journey of music and song.

Also joining this musical fiesta are the Cosmic Rays and Feizal, singer, guitarist, social activist, founder of the Country Music Foundation (CMF) and organiser of the event.

Tickets: Rs. 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, Cargills Food City – Kirullapone, Majestic City, Mount Lavinia (near the courts), Staples Street, Rajagiriya (Parliament Road), Kohuwela and Big City – Katubedda.
