‘Premaya Nam’ a touching tale of love

The debut film by two brothers Kalpana and Vindana Ariyawansa “Premaya Nam”—‘Dirty, Yellow, Darkness’ is now being screened at CEL and Rithma and circuit theatres in Colombo and around the country.

In Colombo and the suburbs it is screened at Regal (1.30 pm and 4.15 pm), Lido Borella, Amity Lite Maharagama, Odeon and City Cinema Mount Lavinia and Himali Kiribathgoda.

‘Premaya Nam’ has been in competition and representing Sri Lanka at 15 international film festivals, including, Beijing, Shanghai, Goa, Kerala, Delhi, London, Florida and Chicago. Recently it was screened at the 15th Pune International Film Festival, India and 7th Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, California. A heartwarming love story with a subtext on mental health and features an ensemble of cast led by Shyam Fernando, Samanalee Fonseka, Suranga Ranawaka and Dr. Sathis Wijemanne. Amongst many others who are frequent collaborators of contemporary Film, TV and stage in Sri Lanka, the cast includes Buddhadasa Vithanarachchi, Nimal Jayasinghe,Prema Pathiraja, Chandrika Hettiarachchi, Aruni Mendis, Bibishana Kurera, Ranjith Kadupitige, S.I. Samarakkody, Sathis Wijemanne, Chamanthi Wijemanne, Dileepa Abeysekera, Nalaka Gunawardene and Dulith Herath.
