‘Nethuwa Beri Minihek’ returns to Tower hall

Award winning playwright Rajitha Dissanayake’s newest play ‘Nethuwa Beri Minihek’- ‘A Man Much Needed’ will go on the boards at 5.30 on March 9 at Tower hall theatre, Colombo. In his new play Rajitha touches on the themes of nationalism and ethnic issue.

‘Nethuwa’Beri’Minihek’ revolves around the family of Jayantha, a Sinhala nationalist businessman who enjoyed close ties with the previous regime, and worries for his future in the transformed political climate. Return of his son from London with a Tamil friend who is in search of his missing mother during the war, gives way to a dramatic turn and twist.

The cast of ‘Nethuwa BeriMinihek’comprises Dharmapriya Dias, Shyam Fernando, Nadeeshani Peliarachchi, Bimsara Premaratne, PasanRanaweera, Anuradha Mallawarachchi, Nalin Lusena, CharindraChandrasena andKasunChathuranga.

The music design is by Kapila Poogalarachchiand make-up by Priyantha Dissanayake. The lighting is by RangaSamarakoon and costume design by Nalin Lusena and SamadaraMabuluge. VijithNuwan and Nalin Lusenawill be the stage managers.
