Police Colours after eight years

Sri Lanka Police Department are gearing to celebrate their colors night after eight years on January 31.

The ceremony will be held at Nelum Pokuna Auditorium from 7pm onwards, Under the patronage of Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayaka as the Guest of Honour.

Two hundred and thirty three police sports personnel from the year 2008 to 2015 are to receive colours which would cost the department a cool 60 million rupees.

Two life time achievers would be selected and eight sportsmen and women would be awarded as best sportsman/ sportswoman.

All national level police sports persons, retired and serving including Olympian Sumith Liyanage will be a part of the event.
