Remember Woodstock? The legendary Music Festival held in Bethel, New York in 1969, that drew a crowd in excess of 1m people over the 4-day festival?

Woodstock Colombo aims to celebrate the enduring legacy of this most famous music festival, bringing together Sri Lanka’s most renowned musicians to perform on one platform at Woodstock Colombo 2016 which happens today, November 20 at the 80 Club on Independence Avenue from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., presented by Etisalat with JC Entertainments, who also organised the first Woodstock Colombo concert.

Performing live will be 20 of the country’s most talented musicians such as Rajitha Rupasinghe, Chris Dhason, Shafi, Jerome Speldewinde, Derrick “Bird” Wickremanayake, Tilak Dias, Dylan and Slipping Chairs, Koba, Terry Bertus and Rock this Country, Lelum Ratnayake to name a few. Staying true to the values of the times, uniting people in a message of peace, love, openness and cultural expression while catering to the ‘Woodstock Generation’, the event is for music fans of all ages.

Tickets are on sale at the Etisalat Flagship Store in Colombo 3, 80 Club and JC Entertainments at 48 Buller’s Lane, Colombo 7.
