Reigning Men’s and Women’s Champions MAS Holdings got off to a winning start at the 33rd Inter-Firm Badminton Championship 2016, organised by the Mercantile Badminton Association and sponsored by Dulux, with two convincing victories in their respective Group matches at the Mercantile Badminton Headquarters courts.  A total of 2,000 Matches featuring 2,200 Shuttlers from 270 Mercantile Firms, in 24 Categories, will be worked off in this year’s edition, to be concluded this weekend. A noteworthy feature is that, over 40 National players will be seen in action.

Men

  •  ’A’ Division- MAS Holdings beat Hatton National Bank (HNB) 3-0; McLarens beat Sampath Bank 3-1
  •  ’B’ Division- National Development Bank (NDB) beat Commercial Bank 3-0; McLarens beat Brandix 3-1
  •  ’C’ Division- Hayleys beat Sampath Bank 3-2; HDDES beat LOLC 3-2

Women
