To commemorate Children’s Day, which falls November 14, every year, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) Colombo, will organize a painting, drawing and writing competition for children on Saturday,
November 12, 2016 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., at the Indian Cultural Centre, 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7.

Children who are interested in participating, may register their names with the Centre and are requested to come to ICC at 9.00 a.m., on November 12, 2016. The entries done by children on that day, in the categories of writing, painting and drawing will be sent to New Delhi for the Shankar’s International Children’s Competition 2017.

The competition is open to children all over world born on or after January 1, 2001.
The last date for receipt of foreign entries in New Delhi for the Competition is February 28, 2017.
