CB Bonds: Final COPE report on Oct. 25

The final report of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on the controversial Central Bank bond issue will be presented to Parliament on October 25.

A meeting of the Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday and all members have been asked to attend to finalise the report.
Meanwhile, Parliament will hold a day-long debate the same day on the first COPE report that was presented to the House earlier this year. It contains findings regarding 20 institutions.

Meanwhile, a special meeting of the House will be held on Thursday Oct. 20 for Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake to present the Appropriation Bill 2017.
