‘Maya’; Ranjan in a novel role

‘Maya’ Sinhala film, popular actor Ranjan Ramanayake featuring in a female role is now being screened in theatres around the country.

Adapted from Tamil film ‘Kanchana’, the film is directed by Donald Jayantha and others in the stellar cast include Pubudu Chathuranga, UpekshaSwarnamali and Giriraj Kaushalya.

Justice is denied for innocent and impoverished group. Maya had to pay with her life in her quest to uphold the justice. But that is not the end of Maya. She will return to see that justice is served. How will Maya be able to return? How will she fight for the justice she so firmly believes in? Where will this journey take her? How will it all end?

Director Donald Jayantha made his debut ‘Pravegaya’ last year. Young and promising actress Shehara Hewadewa makes her debut in ‘Maya’.

‘Super Six’ and ‘Pravegaya’ famed R. Sadesh Kumar and Srimathi Sadesh Kumar produced ‘Maya’ for Real Image Creations and the film is made using some of the latest film technologies.

Musical score of ‘Maya’ is done by Bathiya and Santhush.
