A play on a novel genre
Veteran writer and director Jayantha Chandrasiri’s latest play ‘Hankithi Dahathuna’ or “The Thirteen Tickles’ will go on the boards at 3.30 pm and 7 pm today, August 28 at the air conditioned Lionel Wendt theatre, Colombo 7.
“The Thirteen Tickles” is played by Sriyantha Mendis, Jayalal Rohana, Wasahtha Vittachchi, Sanjeewa Disanayake, Kusum Renu, Mahendra Weeraratna, Nuradhika Serasinghe, Nadeesha Rupasinghe, Gamini Jayalath and Tissa Gunatilake.
Music composed by Chinthaka Jayakody, costumes by Nipuni Mendis, backdrops by Jayashantha, make-up by Wasantha Vittachchi, production management by Nimal Francis, stage management by Uditha Gunaratna and drama is organised by Jude Srimal.
Jayantha started his theatrical journey in 1985 with “Ath” (Hands) (1985) and introduced a new style to Sri Lankan theatre.
