New water filter technology aimed to eradicate diseases and infections
View(s):One of the world’s leading water filtering systems is now available in Sri Lanka, solely imported by STC Enterprises in Kadawatha. The water filtering system is manufactured by Aqua-Win -Water Corporation founded by a professional water purification system team in 1992 in Taiwan. STC Enterprises which imports the products offers a range of solutions for water treatment to eradicate the growing number of diseases and infections and are equipped in advanced water treatment and filtering technology, experience in water disinfection, a media release by the company said.
STC Enterprises has been directing much of its activities to assist the people of the dry zone in areas such as Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Moneragala, Polonnaruwa and Jaffna, its chairman Chanka Anushanga was quoted as saying. ”The water filtering system sold by STC Enterprises eliminates chemicals such as arsenic from the water which are seen as major contributory factors for kidney diseases. In agricultural regions the water is often mixed with agrochemicals and fertilisers and the Reverse Osmosis (RO) system in the water filters is designed in a manner which purifies the water by eliminating the chemicals for drinking,” he added.
