It is learnt that several office bearers of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation are expected to tender their resignations soon. The reasons given for their resignations were the non-cooperation of top officials of the federation which prevents the smooth function of their duties.

On the other side the top officials put the blame on the members of the federation for not attending the meetings regularly and the Federation intends to take action of these officials in the near future. These failures will affect the development of the game which is the main target of the federation. The early resignations will open the window for the appointment of capable new officials who will work hand in hand with the other officials to see that Sri Lanka volleyball will reach a higher standard in the Asian region.

Two notable absentees were the National Organiser Minister Dilan Perera (former SLVF President) and Vice President Boniface Fernando who kept away from the meetings and their duties were neglected. According to the constitution of the federation any official who fails to attend three consecutive ex-co meetings without a valid reason is liable to lose his post.

The final verdict of the case pending on a complaint to the Human Rights Commission on the election of office bearers of the volleyball federation.
