YES101 and 100.8, Sri Lanka’s popular Hit Music Station recently broadcasted their Morning Show live from Sydney, Australia with the YES101 Channel Head and Morning Show Host Shaq and his co-host Blessie (also known as ‘B’) from the 2nd till the 6th of March.

When asked why Shaq and B decided to host the Morning Show in Sydney, Shaq said, ‘For the Cricket World Cup. We usually do giant screenings for the Cricket World Cup, but this time we weren’t able to do it because of the time difference from where the matches are being played’.

‘So we broadcasting live from Sydney were a stunt we decided to pull’ Blessie added, ‘The whole concept was to bring the ‘World Cup vibe’ close to home and bring a bit of home to our Sri Lankan cricketers’.

The YES101 Morning Show was conducted at the Special Broadcasting Service Studios (SBS) which is a prominent radio and television network in Australia home to radio shows that broadcast in 97 different languages around the world.
Almost 8 years ago YES101 & 100.8 successfully attempted their first broadcast from a foreign country – Barbados.
