Cinema to celebrate ‘women’s day’

In celebrating the international Women’s Day a film festival discussing issues related to women and on society will be screened at 3.30 pm at International Centre for Ethnic Studies on March 10. Organised by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka in partnership with the European Union Delegation, ICES, Agenda 14 and the Alliance Francaise de Kotte the festival will showcase five short films done by up and coming filmmakers.

The films that are scheduled to be screened are ‘Have a Nice Day/’ by Kaushalya Pathirana, ‘Devi’ by Anuradha Kodagoda, ‘Let go’ by Tharindu Ranepura, ‘Be with me’ by Randi Pavithra Kaluarachchi, ‘Appaal’ by Mathavan Maheswaran and ‘Suddhi: The Cow’ by Anomaa Rajakaruna.
