‘Super Golden Chimes’ re-union tour in Aussie

The ‘Super Golden Chimes’, one of the popular bands during the late seventies led by late Clarence Wijewardena, will come alive in Australia next month.
The re-union Concert and Aussie tour of ‘Super Golden Chimes’ is now confirmed performing in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Sydney show will take place on Saturday, the 14th February.

For the re-union Concert Down Under, the band members are reuniting from Switzerland, New York, Sri Lanka and from Australia. The line up for Aussie tour will be ‘Annesley Malawana, Dixon Gooneratne, Rukshan Perera, Chandral Fonseka, Nimal Punchihewa and Paul Perera.

The band is back in Sydney by popular demand and will bring the memories the golden era of Clarence Wijewardena and his creations such as ‘Mango Nanada’, ‘Sihina Lowak’, ‘Gamen Liyumak Avilla’, ‘Malata Babareku se’, ‘Kanda Suridhuni’, ‘Sudhu Manike’, ‘Dill Hani Duwani’, ‘Sandak Base Giya’ , ‘Dileepa Podi Puthu’, ‘Ruwan Pure Ape Gama’.  J

The re-union Concert will feature the mentioned hits along with 70s and 80s English songs. The Aussie tour of ‘Super Golden Chimes’ is sponsored by Walauwa Sandown Regency, Melbourne. ‘The tickets were booked by many Super Golden Chimes fans even prior to the tickets were printed and presented to the market and now a limited number of tickets are available for the Sydney show’ said Nimal Punchihewa, who is now domicile in Australia
