From December, the three city hotels under the Cinnamon brand – Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon Red – put on their Christmas lights creating a fluorescent fiesta of artistic embellishment in Colombo.

Conceptualising a theme to ‘dazzle’ the city, Sector Head Cinnamon City Hotels, Rohan Karr said the primary colours associated with Cinnamon Hotels have been taken into consideration by incorporating “happy and vibrant” hues into the decor.

At Cinnamon Grand it is the blue, cerise (bright red pink) and lily white globes suspended in mid-air in the garden. Christmas trees formed out of translucent acrylic, flashing

mellow beams of green and purple add to the grandeur of the outer lobby.

The waterside property Cinnamon Lakeside greets its guests with a celestial formation of digital stars in blue, green, vermilion orange and pulsating pink. The white Christmas tree in the main lobby stands like a resplendent queen, while the waterside displays an ultra-marine blue Christmas, set against a backdrop of colourful stars reflecting on the placid waters of the lake.

Pulsating with art in every corner is the Cinnamon Red, the country’s first lean luxury property where the red, black and white colour scheme has been woven into every aspect of the building with claret red and crystal white trees a standout.
