Well-known Consultant Surgeon, Dr. Gamini Goonetilleke retired from the Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital after decades of service on October 7.

Here Dr. Goonetilleke conducts the ‘grand ward round’ after which many who had worked with him paid tribute not only to his ability as a skilled surgeon but also his expertise in teaching younger surgeons. The farewell ceremony was also attended by Dr. Goonetilleke’s wife, Shelendra.
