The age old Christmas tradition of cake mixing heralds in the Christmas season at the Kingsbury.  With just over one month left for the season, the Kingsbury began its celebrations with the cake mixing ceremony. Members of the hotel management including General Manager Maurice Cook along with the legendary musicians Annesley Malawana and CJ Dhason from Mintaka gathered at ‘The Ocean Seafood Restaurant’ for the ceremony, where the spread of good tidings and happiness triggered the seasonal festivities at The Kingsbury.

The season will also end in a grand climax on New Year’s Eve when ‘Annesley and the Super Chimes’ and ‘Mintak’a will entertain you with a fusion of English and Sinhala retro classics to usher in 2015 in grand style at The Kingsbury.

The first step in cake mixing saw rum-soaked dry fruits and nuts going in with raisins, dry cherries, black currant, orange and ginger peel with some secret ingredients of the Executive Chef – Kithsiri De Silva were mixed in with liqueurs.

The Kingsbury will light up the season with an enticing line up of seasonal activities and delicacies this Christmas and New Year. For more information please call 0771087720.
