Joy for CDB in spite of rain

View(s): Rain on a Saturday morning was a spoiler at the Annual CDB Sports Festival that was held at the Bloomfield grounds. As a result of bad weather cricket and volleyball finals had to be cancelled and joint winners had to be declared.
In the cricket segment, the winners were Hades and Atheena Houses. In the volleyball tournament, the joint winners were Zeusa and Hades Houses.
In the netball final Ares House was the winner. They beat Zeus House.
In the sprint events, Chathura Wakedapola won a double in the men’s events by winning the 100 as well as the 400. The fastest woman sprinter was Bhakthi Mahisha, while J.L. Priyantha was an easy winner in the manager’s race.
