‘Familian Tranquillo 2014’, Dehiwala HFC’s fundraiser for more classrooms
View(s):‘Familian Tranquillo 2014’, a concert organized by Holy Family Convent, Dehiwala, to raise funds for a four-storied building, will be held at the school auditorium on October 25. The concert includes unique music and dancing works performed by students from Grades 1 to 6.
“This year the school celebrated its 79th anniversary. We have 74 teachers and 1,500 students currently studying here. The proposed four-storied building will be for classrooms as our student population is increasing,” Principal, Rev Sr Ranjani de Silva said.
Sr Ranjani added that they would at least lay the foundation for the proposed building project, with the proceeds from the concert, assisted by parents and well-wishers.
There will be two shows, at 9 am and 3 pm.
Tickets priced from Rs 500 to Rs. 1000 are now available at the school gate and with the class teachers. Tickets will also be sold at the school gate on the day of the show.
