A family comedy
As suggested in the title, ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ is one of the enthralling Hollywood comedies released recently. It is now being screened at Empire Cineplex, Arcade and Savoy 3D Cinema Wellawatta.
Based on Judith Viorst’s 1972 children’s book of the same name, the film is directed by Miguel Arteta and the film stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, and Ed Oxenbould in the stellar roles. Co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures, 21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company, the film was released in line with the worldwide release on October 10.
Alexander’s day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities. Though he finds little sympathy from his family and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him, his mom, dad, brother, and sister all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
