‘Yako!’, is a brand new portal for Sri Lankans to access fascinating content in local languages. From interesting news and out of the box facts from around the world delivered in lighthearted language, Yako! wants to create conversations, the organisation said this week in a media statement.

“We wanted to make a portal for Sri Lankans to see content they would not find locally,” said Dinesh Palipana of ‘Yako!.’ He added, “our passion is to highlight a unique cocktail of information in a simple way for people to talk about. We really care about what people think.”
Yako! gives readers a story to engage and share their thoughts simply by clicking an icon that expresses their reaction.

User commentary and engagement are key parts of what the site is about. Yako! is designed so users can access it with any device. With the boom of social media and technology, ‘Yako!’ says it has a fan-base that is growing by the thousands.
