Central Industries adapts PE technology to make water pipes

Central industries PLC, the renowned manufacturer of pipes and fittings, recently ventured into the latest technology of portable water distribution utilising PE (Polyethylene) technology to produce water pipes for the National Water Supply and Drainage board.

The first batch of more than 18 kilometers of PE water pipes was delivered to the National Water Supply and Drainage Board recently.

PE water pipes which display greater flexibility and ease of installation are used by most developed countries at present to distribute drinking water. Central Industries plans to add more PE products to its product portfolio in the coming years, according to a company media release.

Central industries PLC Director/CEO Newton Wickramasuriya said the company persistently benchmarks with global standards to sustain the quality of its products and thereby it has gained a reputation amongst discerning customers as a reliable and trustworthy supplier.
