Poson Gee by MAF
View(s):Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) together with the Mayor of Moratuwa Municipal Council, Samanlal Fernando will present ‘Poson Bekthi Gee Saraniya’ on June 12th, Poson Poya day. The event will be staged at the Weera Puran Appu Sqaure which is directly opposite the Moratuwa MC headquarters, at 6.00pm. onwards. Moratuwa Arts Forum will present nearly 12 songs, out of which 5 songs will be their own compositions written by Christian members of the Forum. There will be nearly twenty five veteran singers and musicians of MAF who are Christians and Buddhists who will participate in this poson programme.
Some of these artistes are Christopher Paul, Nihal Nelson, Lankika Perera, Somasiri Fernando, Lincoln De Silva, Piyal Fernando ( Gypsies ), Lalith Kalubowila , Gunadasa Fernando, Janadaree Salgado, Kumari Silva. They will join with other popular MAF members. Music will be provided by a live orchestra headed by Nalaka Soya and Lincoln De Silva together with several others.. The members of the Moratuwa Municipal Council will present popular Bakthi Gee recital.
