The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) is to take disciplinary action against Dharmaraja for not playing their scheduled Division 1 Group 1A Singer U20 Rugby league encounter against Science College which was slotted to be played at Mt Lavinia yesterday.

Susantha Mendis, secretary of the SLSRFA speaking to the Sunday Times said that the action taken by the master-in-charge of Dharmaraja in pulling out the team was unbecoming.

The secretary further stated that Dharmaraja was disallowed to field three unregistered players to be included for the match yesterday.
However once being informed that the three players could not play, the Dharmaraja’s MIC had decided to pull out of the game.
Susantha Mendis said “We have to go by rules set by the SLSRFA and cannot have different rules for each and everyone added the secretary. Therefore the executive committee of SLRSFA took a decision to take disciplinary action against Dharmaraja with the discipline committee due to meet next week.”
