H.N.B Dhanapala (three-wheeler driver) They should have consulted the relevant authorities before announcing such a decision. But you can excuse them considering how much they have done for Sri Lankan cricket.

Lakshan Bandara (Private sector employee) They have represented the country with distinction for so long and have proven they don’t care about personal glory. So I think they have earned the right and freedom to retire how and when they want.

Lakmal Bandara (Private sector employee) They both are right in doing this because it is a personal decision and a very unselfish one. They are thinking about the future of Sri Lankan cricket by stepping aside for younger players to come through.

Mahanama Athukoralage (Private sector employee) As mature and mentally-aware cricketers I think they have the right to take such a decision on their own and inform whom they want, how they want.

Mohan Perera (Photography studio owner) They should have informed the authorities concerned but they have made the right move by stepping aside and giving their place to youngsters.
