Henry Jayasena’s “Kuweni” which was presented as a new production by Samudra Jeewani Karunananda will stage its 150th special show on Sunday, March 2 at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre Borella.

‘Kuweni’ which was released as an experimental play during the 60s won 6 awards including the best drama at the National Drama festival. With Nimal Jayasinghe, Latith Janakantha, Anil K. Wijesinghe, Saliya Ilangakoon, Praba Dissanayake, Thilina Prabath, Tharanga Kumari and many other artistes in performance, music is handled by H. H. Bandara and lighting by Gayan Nalaka and Upali Weerasinghe respectively.

With Sunil Hewavitharane’s makeup, Saliya Ilangakoon and Thilina Prabath’s stage management, the new production of the play is produced and organized by Jude Sirimal on behalf of Nirmala Prakashana. All seats are box planned and tickets available only at the Punchi Theatre.
