The story of Sri Gauthama Sambuddha on Derana soon
View(s):A television serial based on the life of Lord Buddha will be telecast soon on TV Derana. This would be the first time ever a Sri Lankan TV channel will be telecasting a TV serial on the life of Lord Buddha. This big budget TV drama series, an India production done in Hindi will be dubbed in to Sinhala.
This historic drama titled ‘Sri Gauthama Sambuddha” portrays the life of Prince Siddhartha from his birth, attaining enlightenment and beyond. It is played by Himanshu Soni as Buddha, Kajal Jain as Yasodharā Devi, Sameer Dharmadhikari as Śuddhodana and Kabir Bedi as Asita Muni.
