Catering is her newest business. Home made authentic cuisine is her attraction. ‘Divine Home Made Food’ is specialized in lamprais and biriyani.

Having help in the kitchenette, Preethi has got her own family recipe preparing authentic Sri Lankan style cuisine. ‘I prepare all the dishes according to my own recipes throughout the year. Unique taste of my lamprais and biriyani are the most demanding among my clients. My clientele restored the trust on me every aspect of cleanliness, healthiness, nutrients and quality and the quantity of the dishes’ she explained.

The delicious aroma of the assortment of the spices an embracing, infusing the savory rice, brinjal pahi, chicken, beef or fish curry, ash plantain with liver cutlets, seeni sambol golden egg made my slightly moderate traditional lamprais recipe of her own.

Bombay biriyani comes with roasted full chicken Jaffna Chicken curry, mixed veg curry, Malay Pickle, raitha, and an egg. Preethi has introduced an X’ Mas seasonal menu featuring stuffed Roast Turkey, prepared according to a traditional British recipe. ‘We are the only caters in the city of Colombo prepare this Christmas Turkey’.

Lassangne, Pastas, Shepherd’s Pie are some of the mouth watering dishes available for the Christmas seasons. Reputed dancer, dance teacher, Preethi belongs to a reputed business family in Sri Lanka. Her father was one of the pioneering garment industry personalities in Sri Lanka.

‘My father was the former chairman of Mayura Group of Companies, the leading garment manufacturing companies in early eighties’. Having educated at St. Bridgets Convent, I am a hard working mother of two children who believe in will power and patience. I enjoy my cooking as much as I enjoy from my dancing and teaching.

She has produced two stage ballets and written the first Sinhala book in depth study of major classical Indian dance styles in Sri Lanka.
‘I manage well with my children’s work, dancing classes as well as my catering business. I organize the day ahead, where I make sure that I will not miss out any of my duties or responsibilities. With the experience I have gained working as a part time student in U.K., it has been useful in the on going catering business. The vast knowledge that I gained by working at number of reputed restaurant in UK helped me to bring extra income to my family’ she said.
