It will be a double celebration for popular duo Yohan and Honorine. The duo will come alive in a Concert to celebrate their voices that blend in harmony and have been entertaining audiences of all ages, together for over 25 years. Not only as musicians, but as a happily married husband and wife, Yohan and Honorine will come alive in a Concert to celebrate their twenty fifth anniversary at the Bishop’s College Auditorium on Saturday, 1st December.

They started their careers separately but met at the Kotte church choir, when Yohan asked Honorine to join his acoustic band . And later they moved on to join Debbie and the Fireflies in1986. Twenty five years ago, in June 1988, they were married and soon after began to perform as a duo ‘Yohan and Honorine’

‘The Concert- Yohan and Honorine’ with their band Black Velvet will feature some of the top names in the Sri Lankan music scene. Sohan Weerasinghe, Mirage, Sweet Inspiration (Shyami, Marcia,Yasmin), Rav David , St. Thomas’ Kotte Choir and Anushan and his Dance Troupe along with their talented daughters Samantha and Melissa are billed to perform at this Concert.

‘Our very first assingment as a duo in 1988 was at Taj Samudra and since then it was a great challenge. I am proud that we have achieved our goals and beaten all our obstacles; Yohan said. Yohan and Honorine have been perfoming in almost every city hotels in and around Colombo and toured overseas for concerts in Australia (Melbourne and Gold Coast ), Dubai , Doha, Seychelles, South Korea (Jeju Island), Maldives, India(Bangalore, Kodaikanal).

The compere for the evening will be Clifford Richards. The tickets are priced at Rs 2000/-, Rs 1500/-, Rs 1000/- and balcony Rs 500/- and are available at Sponge, Galle Road, Colpetty, Torana Liberty Plaza and Majestic City, Charriot Maya Avenue, and No. 255, Pannipitiya Road, Pelawatte, Millenium Book Shop, Kotte Road, Jubilee Post and Bishop’s College Auditorium.
