Doggies put their best paw forward
They were all there, the Labradors, Boxers, Dalmatians, pugs, German Shepherds and many more less familiar breeds and of course, a host of dog lovers, when the Kennel Association of Sri Lanka held their All Breed Championship Dog Show in September. The event was the first time in Sri Lanka when there were three consecutive rings of competition. The dogs put on a show for the audience despite the heat and prolonged performance time in which they had to impress not one but three judges who were expecting much from them and their handlers.
The prestigious “Supreme best in show” award was won by Manisha Wimalasekera’s German Shepherd “Hausmailand Isko” – adjudged Best in the 79th, 80th and 81st KASL shows by judge Augusto Benedicto S. Santos III.
