Gateway sports meet
View(s):The finals of the 16th annual inter house sports meet of Gateway College will be worked off today at the Sports Ministry ground 9.00 a.m.
The meet is conducted under the patronage of Deputy Chairman Dr. Harsha Alles and there will be a total of 32 events conducted for boys and girls under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 20. Altogether over 1500 students representing the four houses namely Solomon, Dudley, Stephen and Lionel will be vying for honours with the prize distribution schedule for 4.00 p. m with President Athletic Association Major General Palitha Fernando as the chief guest. This event was inaugurated in 1998 by the founder of Gateway College and the present Chairman of Gateway College R. I. T. Alles the first Principal D. S. Senanayake.
